ABOUT US
The "For Gender Integration Association" (FGIA) operates with an organizational structure that includes a board and an elected chairman. It is a member-owned organization with over 310 male and female members, including producers, advisors, and related individuals. The personnel and members of FGIA consist of professionals from various fields, such as doctors, agronomists, animal husbandry experts, sociologists, economists, and more, all with substantial managerial experience and expertise.
Although FGIA's home office is in Zall Bastar, its operational reach extends to other districts in Albania through branches and a network of members. With a focus on marginalized youth and women in rural areas, FGIA leverages its expertise to address issues like poverty, discrimination, gender balance, domestic violence, livelihoods, and girls' participation in decision-making. The organization actively seeks to contribute to the achievement of SDG and collaborates with other NGOs and networks to amplify its impact. These projects have received funding from institutional donors, UN agencies, and international NGOs, including embassies such as Australia, Slovakia, Norway, and Germany, as well as organizations like USAID, Swiss Cooperation, FAO, and ADA.
Notable projects include initiatives related to women's economic empowerment, green startups, gender equality in rural areas, and support for beekeeping and agricultural development. FGIA's projects have had a substantial and positive impact on the communities they serve, ranging from livelihood improvements to ecological sustainability and gender empowerment.
